Nippled Exhaust Pipe

A nippled metallic exhaust hose, also referred to as a beaded exhaust expansion joint, is a flexible connector designed for integration into high-temperature exhaust systems where a compact and direct connection is required. It is characterized by its cylindrical ends (nipples or beads) that allow for secure attachment using high-temperature clamps or bands, rather than bolted flanges.

This design offers significant advantages in terms of installation flexibility, cost-effectiveness, and space savings. The corrugated body, typically made from heat-resistant stainless steel alloys, effectively absorbs thermal expansion, vibration, and minor misalignments from engines, turbines, or industrial equipment.

Nippled exhaust hoses are commonly used in applications such as vehicle and generator set exhausts, HVAC ducting, and other systems where space is constrained and the pressure requirements are moderate. The clamp-on connection facilitates easier installation and maintenance compared to welded or flanged alternatives.
